Background

Are you looking for a quick, healthy, high-protein and tasty meal to enjoy after a workout or before beginning an active day? This sweet potato bowl is your answer!
At the beginning of the week, you can roast 3-4 sweet potatoes in the oven and store them in a glass container in the fridge. Every morning, just take out one sweet potato, heat it in the microwave for 30 seconds and begin to assemble your bowl (heating is optional of course).

Ingredients:
1 sweet potato
1 banana (sliced)
2 tablespoons blueberries
2 tablespoons of any nuts
1 tablespoon hemp seeds
1 tablespoon almond butter
Cinnamon

Instructions:
Roast the sweet potatoes in the oven at 400 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
Add the sliced banana, blueberries, nuts, hemp seeds and raisins.
Glaze with the almond butter and sprinkle with cinnamon. Enjoy!

In addition to the recipe, here are some nutritional benefits:
Bananas are high in potassium, enabling both nutrients to move into the cells, and waste to move out of the cells in your body. Sweet Potato contains vitamin A, which is effective for healthy skin inside and out and protects against infections. Blueberries contain soluble fiber, which helps lower blood cholesterol and glucose levels. Raisins contain a high amount of antioxidants to help boost your immune system and increase resistance to infection. Last but not least, hemp seeds are a plant-based source of omega-3 fatty acids, shown to improve mental health, eyesight and lower the risk of a heart attack.
